A new Finnish collection of different kind of neckwear with the brand name gTIE was launched in March 2007. gTIE designs substitutes for ties, necklaces, chokers, knotted scarves called plastrons, bands, collars, hoods and mousers which are substitutes for bowties, chokers and knotted scarves called plastrons. gTIE is an idea of a personalized neckwear with details and more than a shake of that rock 'n' roll attitude. Instead of the traditional patterns and oblique lines gTIE concentrates on exceptional choice of material such as steel, leather, studs, lace, and embroidery. The primary colors of the first gTIE collection are black, red and white. Denim, leather, lace and silk are used among other materials.
As the slogan DETAILS implies, the shape and features of the gTIE tie are carefully designed. Instead of the traditional oblique lines and whimsical prints gTIE stands out with its sculptured simplicity and subtle details which accentuate the wearer's personality.
gTIE is daring, edgy and rock.
Uniqueness, quality and the high standards of Finnish knowhow are the core values of gTIE.
The gTIE collection is based on two lines; ready to wear gTIE and bespoke tailored gUNIQUE where the client's wishes are the basis of the whole design and detailing of the piece. Each piece in the tailor made line is carefully crafted and designed not only to stand out on it's own but to bring out the uniqueness and specialness of it's carrier.
The whole collection is made in Finland from start to finish and Finnish materials are valued highly and they are used as widely as possible. If an exception to this occurs, it will be clearly stated.
The gTIE ready to wear collection is made in Vaasa, Huittinen, Lappeenranta and Helsinki.
gTIE is set out to brake barriers and broaden the way we see and use traditional ties and neckwear in general. gTIE wants to be known as a finnish neckwear label abroad.
